I had the pleasure to attend this workshop in Pune last March. The event was funded by the Khyentse Foundation India. It was a great chance to meet admired scholars from different corners of Buddhist studies. It is always nice to go back to Pune and meet Professor Deokar. The workshop went very well. Although the main idea was to find ways of revamping the Critical Pali Dictionary, there was some consensus at the end of the third day that this is an impossible and in any case an unnecessary task. We decided that a Dictionary of Medieval Pali would be a better idea. Hopefully this project will take off at some point.
